imagesThe ADM girls’ indoor track season ended Saturday in Pella, as the Tigers competed against dozens of schools in the Central College Girls High School Invitational.

For head coach Bart Mueller, there were numerous highlights from Saturday’s action, but the highlight that likely takes the cake as the best of all came from his own daughter.  Brianna finished second in the event’s 800-meter run with a time just under 2:25.  She finished in the top 10 in the 800 in all three of the Tigers’ indoor track meets.

The next highest-placing event for ADM came in the 4 x 200 meter relay.  The Tigers’ combination of Haley Schepers, Brianna Mueller, Olivia Anderson and Regan Engleman finished in 6th place with a time of 1:57.62, which trailed the winning team from Pella by only four and a half seconds.

Long jumper Piper Freestone was outstanding for ADM as well in Pella.  Her jump of 14’7” was good for 7th-best in the competition.  Madi Bertman also finished in the top 15 in the long jump for the Tigers with a jump of 14’3.5”.

Regan Engleman was the final top-10 placer for ADM.  She finished in 9th in the 400, running the sprint in 1:05.84.

One final result of note for the Tigers from the Central College meet came in the 55-meter dash.  Madi Bertman and Haley Schepers were two of 15 girls that qualified for the finals in the event out of 215 entrants in the prelims.  They tied for 11th in the 55, running it in 7.58 seconds.
