Guthrie Center Elementary is hosting a family fun night this evening for its Pre-K, transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten students and their families, and Principal Diane Flanery hopes to see them attend.

The family fun night will be based off of the popular children’s book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” and all activities and events will fit that theme.  Snacks and door prizes will be offered throughout the event.

Parents of preschoolers, TK and kindergartners-to-be should also be aware of an informational orientation meeting that will be held on April 8th, at 6:30pm in the elementary gym.  The orientation is for parents that will have kids entering any of those aforementioned programs later this fall.

To be eligible for the 3-year-old preschool program, the 4-year-old transitional program or the 5-year-old kindergarten program, students must be that age on or before September 15th, 2014.  Applications for the preschool program are on a first-come, first-served basis.
