Wednesday, April 23rd

A deputy checked a pickup pulling a small trailer that had entered the ditch on 270th Street near W Avenue. The owner of the truck reported that the trailer came too close to the roadway shoulder and pulled the truck and trailer into the ditch. No damage was reported to the vehicle or trailer and no injuries were sustained.

A deputy responded to a dog running at large call in the 1000 block of Cedar Street in Scranton. The deputy captured the dog and transported it to the animal shelter in Jefferson.

The Sheriff was dispatched and removed an abandoned vehicle on the roadway at 140th Street and D Avenue. The vehicle was reported by the owner to have run out of gas earlier in the morning. The car was towed from the scene due to it being a road hazard on 140th Street.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff responded to the 1700 block of G Avenue for the report of a carbon monoxide detector activation. The deputy tested the air and determined no presence of C02 and a low battery may have caused the in house tester to sound.

Thursday, April 24th

A deputy checked an alarm activation at the Peoples Trust and Savings Bank in Grand Junction. The deputy determined the bank to be secure and a key holder was advised of the alarm activation.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
