Anyone interested in learning how to explore the wild this weekend needs to sign up now.

The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting the Navigate the Wilderness exploration program Saturday.

Participants will use a compass, map and GPS device to make their way around the beaten path through the prairies, woodlands and wetlands of the Kuehn Conservation Area.

The program takes place from 1-5:30pm and everyone is invited to attend.  Residents should plan to wear good hiking shoes, dress for the weather and bring water, a snack and bug repellant.
