The Winterset Huskies defeated the Perry Jayettes last night in RRC softball 11-1 at the PAC.  The Huskies outhit the Jayettes 14-6 and put the game away in the fourth inning building a 5-0 lead.  The top four hitters in the Winterset lineup were the difference going a combined 10-14 with seven runs scored and and four base on balls.  Sam Nicholson led the assault finishing 4-4 with three runs scored.  Eight grade pitcher Regan Thompson worked the complete game allowing 6 hits and striking out seven.  Perry senior Julie Diw finished 3-3.  Linsey Kunch scored the lone Jayette run in the 6th inning on a Winterset throwing error.  Kate Whelchel, Kylie Brandt and Alyssa Krueger added singles for Perry (1-1).  Emma Olenjzack took the loss for Perry walking five and striking out four.  The Jayette outfield committed three errors on the night allowing three Winterset runs to score.

Perry will travel to Norwalk Friday night for a non conference game with the Warriors.
