A deputy was dispatched and investigated criminal mischief within Seven Hills Park in the 1600 block of M Avenue.

A deputy was advised of the theft of three American flags from the 200 block of State Street in Paton.

A deputy checked the ownership of two vehicles illegally parked at the car wash in Grand Junction.

The newly assigned animal control deputy picked up a reported dog running at large near Dunbar Slough and transported it to the animal shelter in Jefferson.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to a two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 25 and 330th Street. Brandy Ann Thompson 38, of Scranton was driving south on Highway 25 in her 2005 Dodge Durango when James Charles Thuman of Clarinda, Iowa, was stopped at the stop sign at 330th Street and pulled away from the stop sign striking the Thompson vehicle in the passenger side door. No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained an estimated $1500 in damages. James Thuman was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

A deputy and the animal control deputy issued 8 citations in Grand Junction for dogs not having proper dog licenses or proper registration with city hall.

A deputy assisted the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control at a two vehicle accident in Carroll County on Highway 30 east of Glidden.

Thursday, May 29th

A deputy was dispatched to an alarm activation at the intermediate school in Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
