A couple of area organizations are combining for a lunch event this afternoon that they hope will benefit students and teachers in schools across Guthrie County.

Guthrie County Hospital Clinics and Schreiber Family Chiropractic are jointly hosting a “Back to School BBQ” lunch from noon to 1pm today at their two offices located at 603 and 605 East Main Street in Panora.

Hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks will be served at the free will donation barbeque.

Area residents interested in attending are asked to consider donating school supplies that will then be divided up and sent out to various schools throughout Guthrie County prior to the start of the 2014-15 academic year.
