An exciting, fun-filled event is coming to Guthrie Center and everyone is invited to the Guthrie Center High School on Saturday, September 27th.

The Harlem Ambassadors will be facing off against our own Hometown Heroes which promises to be a comedic basketball event from 6 pm to 8 pm.  There will be a free-will donation dinner at 5 pm.

According to Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce member Kristen Crouthamel, “It will benefit everyone involved because of all the different organizations involved. So we are hoping not only to attract ticket sales from here but from surrounding communities as well. It will be a great family event and you don’t get a whole lot of those in this small area. I think it is going to be a really wonderful experience for everyone involved.”

Guthrie’s Hometown Heroes will be made up of principals and teachers of Guthrie Center as well as police and fire personnel. In addition there will be local sports celebrities and leaders of local organizations and businesses.

For more of our conversation with Kristen Crouthamel and Jen Policky about the Harlem Ambassadors visit, tune-in to today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.  That airs during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours on K107.
