The Perry cross country teams turned in some solid times in the 34th running of the Ballard Invitational Monday afternoon at the Huxley Golf Course.  Keegan Fau led the Bluejays with a 15th place finish with a time of 18:02, while Grace Stewart paced the Jayettes  with a 27th place time of 18 flat.  Leah Rueter was 46th with 18:54, Hannah Roberts took 53rd in 21:47 and Katalinas Mateas 64th in 22:36.  “I thought our girls came out and ran really well,” added Head Coach Nathan Krohn.  “It was a beautiful night and all of our girls hit their individual goal times.  That’s all I’m asking of the girls right now is to make the nightly improvements and keep working hard.”

Jeff Fox’s Bluejays had solid times as well.  Morgan Holmstrom finished in 19:35, Zach Roberts 20:36, Fernando Catalan 21:28 and Emilio Gonzalez 21:34.

Both Perry teams will run in make up competition Thursday at Winterset.
