The Greene County School Board will meet tonight.

The Board will conduct a work session discussing the topic of reading at a district-wide level.

The Board will then move into its regular meeting where there will be an election of Board President and Vice-President along with board committee assignments and a delegate appointment to the Iowa Association of School Boards.

The Board will also consider for approval the 2014-15 Title I applications, the 2013-14 certified annual report with special education supplement and transportation report for Jefferson-Scranton and East Greene, a request for special education deficit for allowable growth, a consortium agreement with the Cedar Falls School District and River Hills Schools, other fundraising requests for the 2014-15 school year and requests for neighboring district transportation services.

The Board will also discuss architectural service proposals, the Rippey bus stop location, board meeting times, locations and dates for the 2014-15 school year and the student construction course at the high school will also be discussed.

There will be administrative and a superintendent’s report.

The work session begins at 5:15pm and the regular meeting starts at 6:30pm in the conference room of the Administrative Building in Jefferson.
