ADM Cross Country ran in the makeup of the 2014 Leon Fox Cross Country Invitational in Perry on Tuesday after the meet was postponed from last Thursday due to inclement weather.

On the boys varsity side, the Tigers finished 5th out of seven teams. Senior Trevor Harsh was the first to cross the finish line for ADM. He finished 18th with a time of 18:51. Fellow senior Kyle Ferguson wasn’t far behind in 20th with a time of 18:58.

Next for the Tigers was another senior, Connor Slater. He placed 33rd with a time of 19:40. Sophomore Brady Meier trailed Slater by about 20 seconds and finished 37th, while Freshman Ben Sieleman rounded out the scoring five for ADM by placing 57th out of 107 runners with a time of 21:12.

In girls varsity action, just five teams participated, and ADM finished 3rd. For the first time this season, someone other than senior Jenny Wicks was the first Tiger to cross the finish line. That distinction belonged to freshman Ashlie Hauf, who placed 13th with a time of 17:54. Wicks was next, in 17th, with a time of just over 18:00.

The next three scorers for ADM all came within five places of each other, and like in previous races, were all freshmen. Jesse Howard was 20th with a time of 18:08, Kylie Hauf 24th at 18:18 and Sidney Engleman 25th at 18:26.

Because the Leon Fox Invitational was moved to Tuesday, the Tigers face a quick turnaround in between races. ADM is back to racing on Thursday evening with the Atlantic invitational at the Atlantic Country Club.
