Both the Perry Blue Jays and Jayettes and the ADM Tigers cross country teams will run in the makeup of the Raccoon River Conference meet on Thursday at Terrace Hills in Altoona.

The conference meet was originally scheduled for Monday but was wiped out by heavy rain. As a result, Perry had to withdraw from an invitational in Saydel scheduled for Thursday.

It marks the final race of the season for junior varsity runners and the beginning of the sport’s version of a postseason. The top 20 runners in the races will earn All-conference recognition.

The following event after Thursday for both schools is the state qualifying meet at Perry Golf & Country Club. Both schools’ teams could have some sort of a homefield advantage at the state qualifier because they ran at the country club in the Leon Fox Invitational back on October 7.
