Gusty winds are blamed for a a semi crashing late Tuesday morning just south of Guthrie Center on Hwy 25. The DOT accident report shows that the vehicle, traveling southbound was loaded with corn. A statement given by the driver indicates that he was traveling around a bend when a large blast of wind hit his vehicle, bringing him onto the shoulder, and then into the ditch, where both the truck and trailer flipped over. The report also states that the driver was taken to the Guthrie County Hospital with minor injuries. Damage for the wreck is estimated to be about $25,000.
