Greene County head football coach Dean Lansman said his team takes the field each week trying to win the game, play physical, and prove they can compete in Class 3A. The Rams play a Class 3A District 2 game in Boone tonight at Goeppinger Field and a Greene County victory would clinch a playoff berth and no worse than third place in the seven team district. The Rams have proven they can compete as they’ve played five games this season decided by seven points or less; more than any of the other 63 Class 3A programs. This is the first time since 2009 the Rams have been in Class 3A after playing in 2A the previous four seasons.

Overall, Coach Lansman’s Rams are 3-4 on the season and they stand at 3-1 in district play. Boone is 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the district.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. with coverage on KG98 beginning at 6:45 p.m.
