A new program is being put in place by the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office to help victims or families of accidents or crimes cope with those tragedies. Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright talks about why the new chaplain program is so necessary, “Sometimes law enforcement is short handed, and we sometimes can’t spend the time that’s needed to spend with family members, and this will fill that gap.”

The plan is for the Sheriff’s Reserve Department to have a chaplain on hand, who will also receive peripheral support from area churches.
