The Automated external defibrillator (AED) at the Guthrie County courthouse has been moved from a room to a public corridor, according to Sheriff Marty Arganbright, who believes it can be more useful out in the open, “I saw the need for the defibrillator to be put in a case and out on the wall so it can be readily available. I had an EMT from Panora come over and meet with the supervisors, so that we can purchase that case. And also the department heads from the courthouse come in and the EMT how the defibrillator would operate, and how it could be used in a time of emergency.” Automated external defibrillators can be used to resuscitate and save the lives of individuals who have suffered severe heart attacks.
