At their meeting this week, the steering committee for the Greene County Marketing Plan discussed its options with Blue Space, an ad agency.
Chamber Director Chris Henning says 15 people attended the meeting in which they started their conversation with Blue Space to decide on how to put together a comprehensive marketing plan for the county.
She states that they are in the beginning stages with Blue Space with brand development. The company will conduct research to learn what community members think Greene County is and what it means to live here. From there, Henning notes that Blue Space will analyze all information to create a brand for the county. She points out that the committee members will also contribute to the research aspect for their marketing plan.
“The committee members will be putting together their brochures and all of their marketing materials so that Blue Space can look at the big picture of what’s already happening in tourism and in marketing Greene County and kind of get a sense of what we are from that.”
Henning is hoping that by this summer, Blue Space will have a logo and all promotional materials ready to help generate more tourism in the county.
