The Iowa Legislature is back in session today, and while things like education and the gas tax will dominate discussions on the whole, local Representative Clel Baudler says he’s aiming to change a century old law that he tried to fix last year, “that anyone over fourteen, be it a father, grandfather, certified firearms instructor, could not allow anyone under the age of fourteen to touch, or handle or fire a handgun.”

Baudler believes that with parental or expert supervision, there should be no age limit on who can handle or fire a handgun, and will try to make that belief a Iowa Law this year.
