The Des Moines Area Community College Perry VanKirk Career Academy is hosting an event this weekend aimed to help students who are heading to college this fall.

The College Goal Sunday program brings in trained volunteers to help provide free, on-site assistance to students and families who are filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  This form is required for all students seeking financial aid for college, though it can be a confusing process for those who haven’t filled it out before.

Appointments are not necessary and there will be Spanish speaking volunteers on hand.
