The No. 12 ADM/Van Meter girls soccer team went 2-1 in its home tournament over the weekend, snapping a two-game losing streak in the process while improving to 5-2.

The Tigers dropped their second straight game on Friday, a tough 1-0 loss to No. 1 North Scott. ADM then rebounded on Saturday, beating Des Moines Hoover 3-0 and Glenwood 1-0. That means that through seven games, the Tigers have allowed just four goals, all of those goals coming during their back-to-back losses to Waukee and North Scott.

ADM got goals from Emily Hofmann, Allie Cook and Maddie Allen against Des Moines Hoover, with assists to Hofmann and Cook. Sophomore Sydney Bertman scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season to beat Glenwood, with the assist to Erin Person.

The Tigers get a well-deserved break from competition the next few days before taking on Dallas-Center Grimes on the road Thursday night.
