A five tool player is a term used by baseball and softball scouts to describe a rare player who excels at contact hitting, power hitting, base running, throwing and fielding. As an 8th grader at Guthrie Center, Savana Fuller does all of those things well. She leads her varsity team in hits, triples, home runs, rbis, stolen bases, slugging percentage and batting average, while also serving as the team’s ace pitcher. The Class 1-A 8th grader has spent much of her regular season competing against Class 2-A juniors and seniors in the West Central Conference and should be able to make an impact when the Class 1-A tournament starts next Monday. Guthrie Center hosts Adair Casey in a first round game on Monday, July 6th. First pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
