The Greene County School Board met last night in regular session.
The Board approved the first reading for the revised activity eligibility/good conduct policy. The changes included not allowing students to join an activity once it has started to use to serve their ineligibility period, designating the superintendent or designee to institute a more severe penalty depending on the violation and if the student is found guilty of a serious criminal offense or a felony charge.
The Board also approved allowing the freshman coach’s salary for any sport to be split up between other coaches if no freshman coach is found, a lawn care contract with Raccoon Valley Lawn Care for $59,500, the first reading to implement voluntary early retirement and waiving of the second reading and changing language requiring at least three of the seven board members be present at a meeting to have a quorum.
The Board also heard a presentation from Piper Jaffray about bonding for construction.
