The West Central Valley School Board met Wednesday night.
They approved an overnight stay in the Cedar Falls area for the girls track & field team from Monday, March 7th-Tuesday, March 8th, 2016. During the trip, head coach Mike Vokes says the team will compete at indoor meets at the University of Northern Iowa and Wartburg College. Additionally, they will receive campus and facility tours at both institutions. The student-athletes will miss class both that Monday and Tuesday, but coach Vokes and the Board agreed there was educational value in visiting the college campuses.
The Board also approved a three-year deal with Hogan-Hansen Certified Public Accounting to perform the school’s audit. The firm has performed the audit for the past three years.
Plus, the Board approved the purchase of two 2015 Dodge Grand Caravans from Kriegers Chevrolet at a cost of $19,148 each.
