Greene County Supervisors to Meet Tomorrow
The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet tomorrow.
The Board will consider for approval the second reading to amend the County’s floodplain ordinance, the 2015 calendar year wage report and security policies for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
The Board will also hear a City of Jefferson update with Administrator Mike Palmer as well as a 2017 fiscal year funding request from Region XII Council of Governments.
A public hearing will also be set for the Churdan Finisher Farm Site in Highland Township.
It begins at 8:30am in the boardroom of the courthouse in Jefferson.
Adult Winter Reading Program Going on Now at Jefferson Library
The Adult Winter Reading Program is going now at the Jefferson Library.
This year’s theme is “Get Your Mitts On A Good Book.” The goal of the program is to encourage adults to read throughout the winter. Participants are encouraged to pick up a reading log at the library and read and/or listen to four books or read and/or listen to three books and four magazines and record them. All items must be checked out through the library. Items that will count for the program include books, audiobooks, movies, magazines and puzzles. Newspapers and graphic novels will not count. There are bonus opportunities to win more prizes, which are included in the reading log.
The program runs from now until March 5th. Participants can submit more than one reading log for multiple chances to win prizes from sponsors. Anyone can join anytime for free.
Drawings for prizes will be at 10am on Saturday, March 12th at the library. You do not need to be present to win.
