Helm Announces Candidacy for Dallas County Auditor

Dallas County Auditor Gene Krumm recently announced he will retire at the end of his 12th year of service in December and one of his co-workers has since announced her candidacy for the position.

Julia Helm has worked with Krumm in the Auditor’s office for the last seven years.  She says when he asked if she would consider running in 2016 she felt proud he thought she was capable of handing the job’s challenges.  “His endorsement of my candidacy means a great deal to me.”

Helm says she has worked with every function of the Auditor’s office, including accounting, working with drainage districts and recruiting precinct election officials.

“I enjoy working with the Auditor’s office with its different types of duties. But I love working with and training the precinct election officials.  They are the critical link to the elections office at the polls on election day.”

You can find out more about Helm through her website and Facebook page.  Both are linked in this story on our website.
