Legislative Town Hall Meeting Saturday in Adel
Two of the area’s state lawmakers will meet with constituents this weekend in Adel.
District 10 State Senator Jake Chapman and District 19 State Representative Ralph Watts are hosting a town hall meeting at the Adel Farm Bureau Saturday.
Watts says it’s a comfortable atmosphere where the public is invited to share their thoughts.
“It’s very informal. What we do is when we start up we might give a very quick summary of what’s happening in both the House and the Senate from our own vantage points. Then we really throw it open for questions and comments from the people that attend because you assume that if somebody takes the time to come to a town hall, you want to get their input. That’s basically what they’re about and why we have them.”
Watts encourages everyone to attend. It begins at 9am is is expected to last around one hour.
