Athletes were greeted by outstanding weather conditions Monday at Linduska Field in Jefferson for the Greene County Coed Early Bird Track & Field Meet. No team scoring was kept, but Greene County and Paton-Churdan both won more than one event girls’ event with the Rams winning four and the Rockets two.

Winning for the Rams were sophomore Megan Durbin in the long jump (5′ 0″), Durbin in the 100 meter dash (:14.03), freshman Melanie Doran in the 400 meter hurdles (1:19.89), and sophomore Haley Hall in the 3,000 meter run (12:24.84).

The Rockets had victories from freshman Megan Carey in the 400 meter dash (1:03.84) and senior Carleigh Paup in the long jump (15′ 9).

Other girls’ teams were Guthrie Center, South Hamilton (Jewell), CMB (Maxwell), and Manson-Northwest Webster.
