
No one was hurt but a business building was severely damaged from a fire in Stuart.
Guthrie County Dispatch reports that Stuart, Menlo, Casey, Adair, Dexter, Redfield and Earlham all responded to the blaze at the Stuart Sale Barn at 523 Front Street at 6:41pm Sunday.
Stuart Fire Chief Mike Renslow tells Raccoon Valley Radio that when they arrived on scene, the wooden frame structure was 90 percent fully engulfed in flames. He says the building was completely empty at the time of the incident. Renslow adds that no one was injured in the incident and the cause of the fire in unknown at this time.
The Iowa State Patrol, Guthrie and Adair County Sheriff’s offices, Stuart Police Department and Stuart Rescue assisted at the scene.
