Funeral services for Dot Lawton, 80, of Jefferson, formerly of Cooper, will be held at 10:30am Friday, May 6, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.   Interment will be in the Franklin Township Cemetery, Cooper, Iowa. Friends may call at Slininger-Schroder Funeral Home in Jefferson after 3:00pm Thursday, where the family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 8:00pm Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Cooper United Methodist Church.

Dot Lawton is survived by her children: Doug (Karen) Lawton of Cooper, IA; Ron (Jane) Lawton of Jefferson, IA; Ann Lawton of Jefferson, IA; Karin Lawton Dunn of Grimes, IA and Todd (Amy) Lawton of Dallas Center, IA; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marcia Dircks of Rochester, MN.
