We have new information about the ongoing vehicle theft investigation by the Jefferson Police Department.
We previously reported about an unidentified male who stole a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, that belongs to Craig Flack of Jefferson, from the parking lot at Wild Rose Casino on Sunday. Police Chief Mark Clouse tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the male allegedly stole another vehicle as well.
Sergeant Heath Enns was patrolling the parking lot after the casino closed and just after midnight on Monday, he found 2015 Dodge Caravan with a registration plate that didn’t match the vehicle’s description in the state’s National Crime Information Center. After running the vehicle identification number, it was discovered that the van was stolen from Pleasantville on April 26th. Enns worked with the casino staff and reviewed their surveillance video. Enns found that the same male suspect showed up in the van the same day before taking Flack’s truck.
Clouse says they also found the Chevy Silverado in the middle of a farm field near the Greene and Dallas County line at U Avenue and 340th Street Monday afternoon. The landowner was flying his drone above his field when he noticed the vehicle stuck in a field pond. Clouse adds that the keys to the van were also inside the pickup.

The identification of the suspect still hasn’t been determined. Clouse asks for information about the suspect, to call the nonemergency number at the law enforcement center at 386-2136. All information can remain anonymous.
