Businesses that want to better connect with the public through Google are invited to a free workshop next week in Jefferson.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street Program Director Peg Raney says the “Let’s Put Jefferson on the Map” workshop will be led by Pam Johnson with the Small Business Development Center in Fort Dodge. Attendees will learn how to verify information that’s found on Google and fill out appropriate information so that visitors can find out what your business is about and when you are open. Raney talks about the benefits that businesses can see by going through the program.
“Any visitor that comes into our community and they go on their mobile device to find out, what is available in Jefferson? This will just help them find you (the business), contact with you and know what you have available.”
The hands-on workshop will be in the computer lab at the Greene County High School on Monday, May 9th starting at 7pm. Pre-registrations are encouraged by tomorrow by calling Raney at 386-3585 or by emailing her at director@jeffersonmatters.org.
