The Guthrie Center City Council and Utility Board met Wednesday night.

The Boards voted unanimously to hire Kris Arrasmith for a full-time office personnel job, and to eventually replace Deputy Clerk Donna Benton when she retires.

The Council and Utility Board will split the cost of Arrasmith’s $16/hr salary, plus benefits, and she will perform half of her work for the City and half for the utility departments.

Members of both parties stated that Arrasmith’s experience with Global Information System (GIS) software made her a desirable candidate for the position.

She will begin working full-time on July 1st.
