The ADM boys golf team was involved in a very competitive class 3A sectional tournament at Atlantic Golf & Country Club last Friday.
It was such a competitive field that 4th and 10th places were separated by just two strokes. Jacob Schumacher led the Tigers in scoring shooting an 82 on the day which was good enough for 12th place. Micah Moyer was up next for ADM shooting an 84 which put him in 16th while Matthew West rounded out the top 30 with his 18 hole score of 91.
Atlantic’s Ben Renaud and Jake Olsen took the top two medalist spots shooting 73 on the day. Atlantic also took the top spot as a team shooting 302 followed by Glenwood at 319, Harlan with 334, Carroll wih 335, ADM 350, Creston with 353, Perry, with 356, with Greene County earning the 8th spot shooting 389.
Individually, the top five golfers advance but unfortunately for ADM, both their team and individual scores were not enough to advance on to the district round. If they would have advanced to Majestic Hill Golf course, a course that has played very well for the Tigers in recent years.
