dc conservationAn informational float trip focused on water quality issues is taking place today.

Starting with a panel discussion from 10:30am until noon at the Hanging Rock Shelter House, the event will examine the history of the Raccoon River in terms of water quality.

After the presentation, participants can extend the study on to the waters themselves during an afternoon float from Redfield to Pleasant Valley.  Those who have registered in advance will be provided with shuttle transportation. Floaters are expected to return to Redfield around 5pm.
