As the ADM cross country teams gear up and get ready for their meet in Atlantic tomorrow, they along with head coach David Zwank reflect back to their last meet in the Leon Fox invitational.
It was a great chance for the Tiger squads to run against a multitude of conference teams as the conference meet draws closer and closer, giving both teams a good feel for their conference opponents. In the Leon Fox invitational, the boys squad a faster team time than two out of the five conference teams at the meet, narrowly ousting both Perry and Boone. Meanwhile the Lady Tiger squad had a faster team time than 3 of the five conference teams in the meet, beating out Perry, Bondurant-Farrar, and Boone.
Definitely a good test for both Tiger squads within the conference as they look to set their sights on the conference meet set for next Monday. Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with head coach David Zwank on the importance of the Leon Fox invitational for this season and how it benefits his team going forward.
“When you look at the competition there (at the meet) there was a lot of conference schools so it kind of sets us up for the conference meet which will in fact be run at Perry as well so kind of a tune up that way. Of course that ties into state qualifying as well,” stated coach Zwank.
