guthrie-co-supervisors-11_1The Guthrie County Board of Supervisor met Tuesday in regular session.

The Board discussed establishing a boundary line on property that the County owns in order to sell part of the land. The property is on Redwood Avenue in rural Guthrie Center. They determined to divide the property from the west line to the east fence and sell off the facility site and keep the farm acres. It was mentioned that the county will keep about 225-acres. The Board then heard questions from two parties interested in the property. Following the discussion, the Board decided to go ahead with surveying the land and then setting a public hearing at a future meeting.

The Supervisors then approved a liquor license for Lake Panorama National and directed County Auditor Jerri Christman to ask about the possible increase in medical insurance rates for the next fiscal year.

Finally, the Board briefly discussed hauling garbage and recyclable material from the county’s landfill and charging by either tonnage or per load. The Board felt that if they charge the contractor per ton, it will be most fair if they put it out for bids at a future meeting.
