The second of two candidates vying for the District 19 State Representative seat is a lifelong Adel resident.

Democrat Bryce Smith says he decided to run for the Iowa House around a year and a half ago after deciding it was time to serve the area he was raised in.

“I was ready to give back to my community and to Dallas County where I grew up my entire life.  I really cared about the values that we all share and how we can implement those throughout our government so that the rest of Iowa can see what we all have right here in central Iowa. Also, to make sure that Dallas County and District 19 has all the resources necessary to be prosperous, safe and have a brighter tomorrow.”
