The Greene County Intermediate School held a special Veterans Day program for all area veterans who attended on Monday.

The program began with the presentation of colors by local Cub Scout and Boy Scout Pack and Troop 534, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Then there were two video tributes and the event ended with the scouts folding the American Flag and some trumpet players performing Taps.

Coordinator Bob Palmer describes how pleased he was with all the students who attended the event.

“The kids were really, really incredible today. They were absolutely silent the whole time. They were very respectful and they were very interested in learning about our veterans and each of the branches of the armed services.”

He adds that he was impressed with the students that were also involved in the program and how well they did.
