At long last, the start to the 2016-2017 season for the ADM Tiger boys basketball team has finally arrived.

Tonight ADM, under the direction of head coach Aaron Mager will take to the road for game one in Pella tonight, taking on the Pella Christian Eagles. ADM looks to overcome their one point loss to the Eagles last season and start the year off 1-0. This season ADM comes in as the 32nd ranked team in class 3A according to BCMoore.com’s pre-season rankings while Pella Christian comes in as class 2A’s 10th ranked team according the the preseason BCMoore rankings.

Raccoon Valley Radio was able to sit down with ADM head coach Aaron Mager as he described his team’s game one opponent and what they need to do to come out with a win.

“They’re confident and they’re a very veteran group too. They’re led by a point guard who’s played for his fourth year, Levi Jungling. They have a post player back that wasn’t there a year ago, David Kacmarynski who’s a quarterback on the football team. These kids are just used to playing at a high level and winning at all sports that they do. They’re successful in football, they’ve gotten third I think in 2A in basketball the past few years and we’re going into their house so we’re going to have to take it from them. That’s only going to happen if we’re consistent and prepared and really gritty,” explained coach Mager.
