Greene County went 1-2 in high school wrestling dual meets in Gilbert on Thursday night, but the one win was significant. The 55-18 victory over Heart of Iowa Activities Conference rival CMB (Maxwell) was the first wrestling dual meet win for the Rams in over a year. They went 0-22 last season and lost their first five this season. The Rams lost to ADM 64-11 to start the evening, and after the win vs. CMB, the Rams fell to Gilbert by a 52-27 final and are 1-6 overall and 1-1 in the HOIAC.

Winning by fall vs. the Raiders were Garrett Tasler (106), Will Hansen (132). and Brock Wuebker (170). Winning a major decision was Isaac Ireland (152) and Joel Ward won a 6-0 regular decision. Collecting forfeits were Braden Gallagher (113), Dale Morlan (120), Markus Rosenow (182), Isaiah Yoder (195)and Elisha Ward (220).

The only wins for the Rams vs. ADM were by fall for Yoder at 182, and a forfeit collected by Morlan.

The match with Gilbert saw Braden Gallagher (106) collect a forfeit, Tasler collect a forfeit, Cayden Gerdes win by decision, and Yoder won by fall at 182.

The Rams go to the Ogden dual meet tournament on Saturday.
