When the West Central Activities Conference dual tournament concluded this past Saturday, it also concluded ACGC wrestling’s 2016 portion of their schedule.

With every team there are things coaches are looking for out of their team and the ACGC Chargers are no different. Under the direction of head coach Shawn Danker, the Chargers have had a very solid start to the season earning a 4-9 dual meet record.

Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with coach Danker on what he feels he would most like to see heading out of the holiday break.

“When we come out of the break I just want to see good effort. They all know that, I preach to them all the time. We’ve got good quality kids. I want to see them giving up a lot of energy, a lot of focus and wrestle their best matches. That’s all we can ask for every day every week,” explained coach Danker.

After the break, the Chargers will kick off their 2017 portion of the season with a home match up Thursday, January 5th, welcoming in AHSTW, Exira-Elk-Horn-Kimbalton, and Griswold high schools.
