Wayne JohnsonA Jefferson man faces a felony charge in Marion County after he allegedly stole a vehicle.

According to court documents, 43 year-old Wayne Paul Johnson, Jr. was arrested Sunday and charged with a Class D Felony for second degree theft and driving under suspension.

A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a home in Harvey. The deputy ran the license plate and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen. Johnson was spotted on the porch of the nearby residence and told the deputy that he borrowed the vehicle from an individual at a casino in Tama, where it was reported stolen.

Johnson was arrested and booked into the Marion County jail. His initial hearing date is scheduled for Tuesday, February 14th.
