Earlier this week, ADM senior basketball star Tajen Ross was further awarded for his great season with a spot on the Iowa Newspaper Association Class 3A All-State third team as noted by sportswriters from across the state of Iowa. Tajen helped lead the Tigers to a 12-11 season and a lot of firsts for the ADM boys basketball program.
Ross helped the Tigers earn their second straight winning season and first postseason win in six years. He did so as just the first ADM Tiger since the 2008-09 season to rank inside the top 10 in class 3A in scoring. Ross’s 56 made three’s on the season came just 23 shy of ADM’s record from beyond the arc brought on by Troy Ticknor back in 2008. That was part of a dangerous perimeter arsenal for ADM that never fell below 10th in all of class 3A in 3pt%, something ADM had not accomplished since the 2007-2008 campaign.
Tajen was selected as a unanimous decision to the first team all Raccoon River Conference. Ross ended his senior campaign averaging 22 points per game and totaling 855 total points during his tenure while at ADM. Tajen ends his time as a Tiger with a two year average of 19 points per game.
