The high school track & field season for some Greene County High School boys began on Tuesday inside the Lied Recreation Center in Ames on the Iowa State University Campus. It’s Spring Break for the Greene County schools, and Coach Dean Lansman took a partial squad to Ames.
Greene County results from Tuesday, March 14:
Shot put (95 throwers)- Jared Marshall, 35′ 9-1/2″, 73rd place; Caden Wilson, 31′ 8-1/4″, 83rd place.
High jump (72 jumpers)- Carter Morton, 5′ 4″, tie for 36th place; Kolin Reed, 5′ 0″, tie for 52nd place.
Long jump (90 jumpers)- Colby Kafer,17′ 3-1/2″, 50th place.
60 meter dash (143 runners)- Logan Lansman, :07.661, 60th place; Chase Stoline, 7.921, 105th place.
3,200 meter run (109 runners)- Nick Killion, 12:12.74, 93rd place.
400 meter dash (140 runners)- Brent Riley, :59.58, 104th place; Kolin Reed, 1:00.75, 114th place.
4 x 400 meter relay (56 teams)- 3:55.25, 41st place.
