WCV (1)The West Central Valley Wildcat cross country teams will be back in action this evening. Last week, the Wildcat boys finished fifth and the girls finished outside the top five on their home course. This week they’ll be looking for a better finish.

The boys are led by Louden Foster, who finished in 12th place last week. Foster was within 45 seconds of the Nodaway Valley runners, which should give him and the rest of the boys team some hope to climb the individual leaderboards. The team finished 27 points behind the top three teams at their home meet.

The girls had three runners in the top 25, but the Panorama Lady Panthers have looked like a force to be reckoned with this season. Aliyah Dickson finished just 21 seconds outside the top ten last week and could be on the move up the individual leaderboard this week at Spring Lake State Park in Jefferson.

The meet is a packed one. The teams participating include cross-county rivals ACGC and Panorama. A total of 22 high school teams will compete. The meet begins at 5pm.
