acgcACGC’s early season performance has earned the Lady Chargers a bye and a home match in the second round of the Class 2A Region Three Volleyball Tournament.

ACGC occupies the bottom half of the top section and will take on the winner of the first round match between Madrid and Panorama. The other side of the top section features a matchup between fourth ranked Council Bluffs St. Albert and the winner of ASHTW and Underwood.

In the bottom half, ninth ranked Tri Center will await the winner of another West Central Conference first round matchup between Woodward-Granger and Ogden. IKM-Manning has earned the final bye of the Region and will face the winner of Fort Dodge Saint Edmond and Eagle Grove.

The Lady Chargers cruised to a three set win at Panorama earlier in the season and will host Madrid in Guthrie Center next Tuesday. ACGC will have to regain that winning momentum before the tournament begins, as they fell in straight sets Tuesday night against Earlham, losing 20-25, 21-25, and 19-25. The Lady Chargers will participate in the Anita Invitational on Saturday.
