KKRFTonight KKRF will host a special election program. Meet the Candidates will give listeners a chance to learn more about the candidates running for city council seats in Guthrie Center, Panora, and Stuart.

Four individuals will run for three spots on the Guthrie Center City Council. Incumbent Randy Nickel will be joined by Chuck Cleveland, Carolyn Masters, and Brian Stringer. There will be three newcomers to Panora as there are no incumbents seeking reelection. The five up for three seats in Panora are: Tony Barber, Thomas John Flanery, Brian Dorsett, Stan Landon, and Curtis Nepstad Thornberry. Finally, Stuart incumbents Bryan Belden and Neil Crawford will be challenged by Mick Askren, Kristina Renslow, and Theresa Wright-Glass for the three available seats.

The show will air at 6 pm and will re-air on Thursday, November 2nd. The show features most of the candidates running, however a few declined to participate. Election Day is Tuesday November 7th. The forum will also be posted online tomorrow under the “news” tab.
