Rippey kicks-off Beggars’ Night on Saturday, October 28th from 3 to 7pm. Not only is it Beggars’ Night, but there is a fall festival as well. The City and McNeill Trucking LLC are teaming up for the event. It includes several vendors and activities for the whole family, like pumpkin decorating, coloring stations, blinko, bobbing for duckies, a washable tattoo station and pumpkin toss. Plus, there will be a costume contest for kids up to 16-years-old and a mummy making contest for those 3 to 15-years-old.

All other communities have designated Halloween night on Tuesday, October 31st as their respective Beggars’ Night. Paton, Churdan and Scranton’s suggested times for kids to trick or treat is from 5 to 7pm. Jefferson’s suggested times are 5:30 to 7:30pm, while Grand Junction’s suggested times are from 5:30 to 7pm. Additionally, Grand Junction is having a trunk or treat event on Main Street with vendors and other activities taking place at the same time as Beggars’ Night.
