voteToday is Election Day for city council and mayoral races across Iowa. Here are some final reminders for Adair and Guthrie County residents before going to the polls.

All polls open at noon and close at 8 pm. Stuart residents will vote at the Rec Center, Panora residents will vote at the Veterans Auditorium, and Guthrie Center residents will vote at the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library. Absentee ballots can also be submitted in person until 11 am today.

The Guthrie County Auditor’s office is doing everything they can to make sure everyone has an opportunity to perform their civic duties. This includes those who may have trouble entering the polling location as Deputy Auditor Danielle Fink explains. “If you’re at least able to get to the polling place by vehicle, you can contact our office and then we can get a poll worker out to your car. There will be a form that you fill out and then you can actually vote your ballot from your vehicle.”

There is also assistance for those with other voting inhibitors, including visual impairment. A full list of election races and polling information, including supplemental balloting information for Guthrie Center, can be found at the bottom.  Be sure to tune into KKRF 107.9FM’s complete election coverage with on-air result updates at 9, 10, and 11 pm, as well as on our website.
