Greene County 4-H’ers are reminded that tomorrow will be beef weigh-ins for the 2018 Greene County Fair.

Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayle Hyett-Willms says all 4-H’ers looking to exhibit beef at this year’s county fair must attend the beef weigh-in tomorrow starting at 1pm at the fairgrounds in Jefferson. Weigh-ins run until 2:30, and then retinal scans for beef to be shown at either the Iowa State Fair or AK-SAR-BEN will go until 4pm at the fairgrounds.

Hyett-Willms points out that verification from the weigh-ins for market beef must be done by February 1st. She adds that all other species and breeding beef verification deadline is May 15th.
